Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor Joy was born in Miami Florida on 16 April 1996. A half English and half Spanish She is the child of Dennis Alan Taylor a former banker as well as Jennifer Marina Joy a psychologist. The father of her mother, who is Argentinan of Scottish and English descent is also her mother. Her mother's ancestral lineage is Spanish and English. Taylor-Joy was born into a clan of six children. Four of them are siblings from her previous marriage to Taylor's dad. The family was initially located in Buenos Aires, but moved to Victoria when Taylor-Joy turned 6. Taylor-Joy explained that the move had been difficult and that she was unable to go back to school in English as she wanted to go back to Argentina. Hill House was the new school she had to attend following her departure from Northlands. She later enrolled at Queen's Gate School where she trained in ballet and appeared in school productions. At the age of 16 she left the college and began pursuing a career acting full-time. Taylor-Joy was always aware of her desire to become an actor. The opportunity was offered to her chance by Sarah Doukas founder of Storm Management and was offered a job as a model.
