
Carol Lynley (born Carole Ann Jones, February 13, 1942 - September 3 March 3, 2019), was an American actress. Her most famous work is for her work in the movies Blue Denim (1959), The Poseidon Adventure (1872), and The Poseidon Adventure (1972). Lynley was raised in Manhattan by her Irish mother and New England father. After starting her career as an actor, she went on to become a model for children. She was nominated for the Theatre World Award for "one of the most promising actors 1956-1957" for her performance in The Potting Shed. Lynley began her film career in 1958 when she appeared in her debut in the Disney film The Light in the Forest. It was followed by Holiday for Lovers (1959), and Blue Denim (1959). She was nominated in the year 1959 for the Golden Globe Award as Most Promising Female Newcomer - Female. She was nominated for the Golden Globe Award again for the most promising youngcomer of female one year later in the film Blue Denim.
